Hooking up 2 8ohm 3watt speakers with the cheap amplifier from Aliexpresss (PAM8403 IC - 50cent/pc) and 3V battery power supply.
While it does amplify audio as it should, the sound quality is bad, with audio breaking into pieces at mid volume, and not being able to produce sounds at max volume. Even at low volume, static noises can be heard as well. This is not good at all. Also, i notice the board get heated pretty fast.

With the price of 50ct/pc, this board is good to amplify sounds for simple DIY project (say, add 8 bit sounds to arduino). For more serious hearing (music / video), probably I will stick with official product. A 10$ USB speakers sounds better than this and cheaper as well, after factoring in speaker driver, casing and other accessory.
Rate: 3.5/5 for diy fun stuff (cheap). 1/5 for real audio listening.
