I just had my first and probably last time playing competitive paintball tournament with my ex-corporate (long story). It was an awesome event, we played our sweat and blood through a few training and assemble a team for the competition.
The game started our normally, we took position and killed and got killed. After 2 mins, it was 3 of us vs 2 enemies. I took a long dash, and got 1 opponent lying down unaware of his back. Yup, your back matter.
After got him, I got to another enemy back , but without any bullet left, the only thing I can do was grabbed the flag and home run

Touched down, finished my run and dod a victory sign . I thought our team won. But nope, I was outed due to stepping put of bound during my victory ....how stupid I was, thinking we won and did the wrong thing ... My years of training kendo taught me to respect, and during the very last moment of winning, I lost it.
To make the matter worse, because I was out, the enemy took advantage and in split seconds, won the game by beating my mate in home run.
lesson to be learn: be aware of your environment, and be respectful even if you know you won.
